Good morning all! I had a different blog post planned for today, but I have been having a stressful week so I wanted to do something a bit more mindless.

So I’m going to introduce this new series I am going to start! The name? Yeah. I have no clue ๐Ÿ˜‚

But the general point of it is to figure out what I like in reading and what I might not like. There’s a lot of times when I say I don’t like a certain genre or trope but then realize there are a few books I do like within that genre or trope. Or some that I’m not too sure about.

So here’s the deal. I’m going to choose a few books within a certain trope or genre and read them. Then I’ll tell you all my thoughts on each book and my overall decision if it’s something that I’ll continue to pursue or not.

I’m sure that sometimes I’ll figure out if it’s something I like within a few books or I won’t know even after a bunch. But I figure I’ll try different formats and methods of reading these books and see what works best.

So, that’s about it. I don’t know what the first one will be or when, but recommend your favorite genres and tropes in the comments!

That’s it for this one. I hope you enjoyed and I hope you all stick around (and subscribe) for this journey.

  1. My favorite thing to read in books is romance. It doesnโ€™t have to be an actual romance book although I love those to. And I am one of the weird bookworms that actually likes pretty much all of the romance tropes like love triangles, and friends to lovers etc.

    1. I am kind of the same. If it’s a cute romance and less on the “smutty” side, I’m all for it. I try to stay away from a lot of smut because I just don’t like reading it. But romance is definitely something that sells me on a lot of books I read. If there’s no romance, I generally don’t have a lot of interest. Or I’m spending the entire time shipping and hoping for a romance to happen.
