Good evening everyone. And by evening, I mean night. Because it’s most certainly nighttime here.
It’s 7pm and I just finished watching the Korean drama, Chocolate. Now I’m here to review it for you all. This will be completely spoiler-free. All thoughts are my own and just because I felt a certain way, that dosent mean your way of thinking is wrong.
This drama follows two people who keep meeting up in life unexpectedly. It deals with a lot of trauma and heartbreak. So be weary if you’re not prepared to ball your eyes out every episode. This one is definitely a hard hitter. He has become a doctor and she is a chef.
I shared my thoughts on the first half in a separate post. These are my thoughts overall including those.
I feel like, for the most part, the drama was good. It wasn’t anything that will necessarily stick out in my mind like some others, but it was well worth the watch. I do recommend it, especially if you like hard hitters.
On the other hand, the ending was rushed. I feel like the last two episodes stuffed too much into it and should have been dragged out a bit more. It seemed like a lot of buildup and not enough time to round everything off.
I would recommend watching this either way. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it as a first kdrama for someone new to reading captions, but I would if you’re used to being able to watch and read them at the same time.
Now time to choose my next watch. I currently am watching a couple kdramas week to week (well, best I can), but this will be between a kdrama, an American tv show I’m behind on, and an anime. Choose one of these three and that’s the next thing I will watch and review!
All of these are on Netflix. Click the title to view more about it.
K-Drama: When The Camellia Blooms
This is a single mother story and about a man falling in love at first sight. It looks really cute and I could use that after Chocolate.
TV Show: Grey’s Anatomy
Im on season like 13 or 14 of that and I really want to catch up again.
This one I know is about siblings but I’m not sure what else. It’s been on my to-watch list for so long I forgot why I was interested. But I know I was so I’m interested in watching it sooner rather than later!
So comment down below with your vote. Or message me on Instagram if you can’t comment. Voting will close Feb 4th at 11:59pm and I’ll probably start watching sometime after that!
Thanks so much for joining me and happy watching!
