Good evening everyone! I’m posting this late once again and I’m sorry for that! But it’s here. I’m going to hopefully get myself back on track. My son has been sick all week and I have been trying to make him feel better.
Thankfully, he is feeling a bit better. He slept all day yesterday and then ended up getting sick today because he hadn’t eaten much yesterday. I think it was all growth stuff for him.
But anyway, let’s do the Coffee Book Tag because I love me some coffee!
I found this book tag on The Wordy Habitat so make sure you all check that out when you get a chance!
This tag was created by BangadyBangz back in 2015! If you haven’t done this tag, you’re tagged to do it!
I’m currently drinking some Saturdaze from Coffee Over Cardio, which is a. chocolate donut coffee! Click this link to check it out through my affiliate link!
Black: Name a series that’s tough to get into, but has hardcore fans
I have to agree with The Wordy Habit on this with The Shadow Hunters books. But also Nevernight and An Ember in the Ashes. Those two series are ones that I can’t wait to get into, but Nevernight is a difficult book to get into and An Ember in the Ashes is so hardcore that I’m afraid to start it because I have a feeling I’m going to want to binge it right now. I want to try to finish the series closer to the release of the last book.
Peppermint Mocha: Name a book that gets more popular during the winter or festive time of year
I really didn’t want to say this, but Harry Potter. With the release of the illustrated editions being during the winter and the fact they have the BEST Christmases, it makes sense that they are becoming more popular.
(And yes, I know this photo is upside down. My idea was that my son was reading it, but it didn’t come out looking that way.)
Hot Chocolate: What’s your favorite children’s book?
I absolutely ADORE Shel Silverstein. He was one of the only poets that I used to actually like. Now that I’m more open to different things, I enjoy more poetry. But Shel Silverstein will always remain the one I’ve liked the longest.
Double Shot of Espresso: Name a book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish
Definitely The Shadows Between Us. Not necessarily because I couldn’t figure out what was going to happen next, but I was just so immersed in the story that I felt like I was living the story of these characters. And that lead to me feeling like I was on my edge of my seat because the characters were.
Starbucks: Name a book you see everywhere
Right now, it’s Chain of Gold and House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas. Everyone has been talking about these books. Especially Maas’s since everyone seems to claim it’s her best work yet. I’m so stoked to get to it one of these days. The fanart is PHENOMENAL.
That Hipster Coffee Shop: Give a book by an indie author a shoutout
I absolutely LOVE Mariah Ankenman. I read The Best Friend Problem and the Best Man Problem, but I have another of their books coming in the mail soon! But I absolutely LOVED both of them!
Oops! I accidentally got decaf: Name a book you were expecting more from
A Darker Shade of Magic. That’s it.
The Perfect Blend: Name a book or series that was both bitter and sweet but ultimately satisfying
I’m going to have to go with Come Back to Me. I knew from the beginning that I was going to end up balling my eyes out, and I did, but I still really enjoyed the experience.
And that’s going to be it for this one. I don’t really have anything else to add except to go check out Coffe Over Cardio (which is the coffee brand I probably had for most of these pictures).
