Good evening everyone! I hope you’re doing wonderful. I’m finally getting around to wrapping up my reading for last week and telling you all my TBR for next week!
So, last week I was participating in the readathon #MusicalReadathon and it was extended to last this week as well! I’m going to cover the books I read last week for it and what I hope to get to this week. And what challenges I’ve completed and still have to do!
Let’s get into this!
I did little to no reading at the beginning of the week because I was sick and just wanted to lay in bed all day. Since I started feeling better, I’ve gradually gotten back into reading. That is until Saturday hit. I decided I wanted to try out diamond painting.
Needless to say, I finished 4 audiobooks in 2 days. 4 books… Wow.
So other than those four, I finished one other book. So total this week, I read 5 books. That’s back to about what I’d been hoping for.
That brings me up to being only 1 book behind on my Goodreads goal, according to GoodReads. I’m hoping to use this last week off from work to get ahead of that. Along with that, I hope to get myself back on a schedule and improve it so I can get more done throughout the day.
And if anyone knows of any companies hiring remotely currently, hit me up. Especially if it’s in publishing or reading or anything like that. My blog has been doing amazing for ads, but it’s also not nearly enough to make a dent in bills so I need to do something.
Alright! Enough money and sad talk! Let’s talk about these dang books and everything else I was doing this week. I did review each and every one of them on my Instagram so make sure you check that out! And here is the full list of challenge for #MusicalReadathon
So, not much has changed except instead of focusing on the playlist I’ve been listening to, let’s talk about the song I’ve been listening to on REPEAT. Click the video below to listen to it while you continue reading this post. And please take a moment to appreciate how freaking perfect IU is. Thanks and have a nice day.
Heyo! I’m finally watching My Hero Academia from the beginning! You’ll see this isn’t going to the only time I mention this show either! But check out my First Impressions of the show by clicking on the image below!
I started this one before but wasn’t really into it. But then my friend Christina from SushiRainbow (go follow her on Instagram) said she really enjoyed it so I decided to get back into it.
This one ended up going to for the challenge of Meet the Plastics (Mean Girls) – Book with High School Drama
This one went for the challenge of Seasons of Love (Rent) – Book with LGBTQ+ Representation
This book went for You’re the One That I Want (Grease) – Book with Romance
This book went for the challenge of A Whole New World (Aladdin) – Fictional World
This book went for the challenge of Into the Unknown (Frozen II) – Book You Don’t Know Much About
Now I get to let you all know a bit about a secret project I have going on. I’m not going too in depth, though as to not spoil the surprise. But I will be reading books that are going toward the series I’ve been planning on doing since last year. It’s my Reading Preferences series where I try to figure out if a certain genre, trope, or type of book is something I enjoy reading. I’m going to be reading a few books toward one of those so I can get back on track with doing it.
Along with those, I have a few manga I need to read for review that I’d like to get out of the way before I start the buddy read for April. Below I’ve listed those and the other books I hope to read this week.
I don’t know how many will be featured in the first volume but I’m going with the challenge One Day More (Les Miserables) – Book with a Lot of Characters for this one
For this it will be You Can’t Stop The Beat (Hairspray) – Book With a Character Who Experiences Change
For this one I’m going to go with the challenge of Popular (Wicked) – Hyped Up Book
This one is You’ll Be Back (Hamilton) – Sequel
My other secret books may count for some of these challenges that I didn’t mention, but for not that’s it! I hope you all enjoyed this and make sure to let me know what you’re going to be reading this week!
I hope you all are staying safe and healthy and I’ll see you all in the next one! Bye!
