Recently Approved For #1 | May 18, 2020

Good evening everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful day today. I was originally going to make this a Manga Monday post because I requested a few manga on Netgalley, but since I haven’t heard back on those yet, I’m just going to talk about the two romance novels I was approved for today!

Let’s just get right into this everyone!

So, I know. I’ve been fairly non-existent this past week. I’m sorry about that. I got sick one day then haven’t really had the motivation any other time to do anything.

But anyway, let’s just talk about the two books I got approved for. These are both from Entangled Publishing, where I get most of my arcs. I love the books I get from them most of the time so they are definitely my go-to publisher for romances. I know just where to look and what to look for depending on the mood I’m in.

In the case of these two books, one of them is a. bit different than what I’m usually looking for, but the other fits perfectly.

Let’s start with the one that is 100% my comfort read.

Small Town, Big Secrets is a kind-of marriage of convenience, pretend to date romance. They both are in need of something and a year-long marriage between the two would benefit them both. She’s a single mother looking to do anything necessary to get her son the care he needs; he is looking for a leg up in the DA elections coming up. This marriage will provide her with the insurance money she needs for her son and his ratings are sky rocketing.

The only problems, he is the brother of the man who broke her heart and she is keeping secrets that could destroy everything.

I’m so excited for this book. I haven’t read anything by this author before, but I have a feeling this is one that’s going to be really enjoyable for me. The synopsis doesn’t really give anything away about what the son needs surgery for, though, so I’m a bit nervous.

This title comes out June 8th, 2020.

Wrong Bed, Right Brother was a book that I generally had an idea what was going to be happening because of the title. Unfortunately, it’s a common title style for these types of stories.

This follows a woman who has been crushing on her coworker for a while. She finally decides to make a move before they are separated (career-wise) and ends up accidentally in the bed of his twin brother. Except they keep finding themselves back together over and over again.

So, the reason this is a bit out of my comfort zone is because I know it’s going to a very smutty read. I know that it’s going to go very in depth with the sex scenes and that’s not generally something I enjoy. So I’m not really looking forward to those aspects of this, but I think it’s going to be a fun mistaken-identity story. So I’m still really looking forward to it.

This title comes out June 15th, 2020.

That’s going to be it for this one! I want to start adding in links to purchase each of these books. I check IndieBound before checking Amazon. Make sure to check your local bookstore before you check Amazon, though.

Thanks so much for joining me. You’re wonderful! I appreciate you being here and make sure you comment below answering the following question:

What’s the most recent book you got (whether it’s an arc, gift, or book you purchased; doesn’t have to be a physical book)?

I’ll see you all very soon. Thanks again for joining me. Bye!

    1. I usually get stuff from the other parts of Entangled, but I want to read some more from Teen. I know one of these was from Entangled Brazen. I believe Violet Grenade by Victoria Scott is from Entangled Teen and I LOVED that book!
