Good morning everyone! I hope you’re all doing wonderful. Today I’m going to be wrapping up this last week with my reading, favorite blog posts, and some stats to keep some things interesting. I’ll also give you a brief idea of my reading/watching plans for this coming week.
I’m going to be trying a new setup for these posts, so if you want anything included in them, let me know and I’ll try to add it in next week.
That all being said, make sure you all are checking out this link for some resources on where to donate, petitions to sign, and ways to educate yourself on the BLM movement. Keep educating yourself and keep fighting. This isn’t over.
Let’s get into my weekly update.
So, my reading this week has been crap. I haven’t really read anything and I haven’t really done much of anything. Also, I don’t really know what I can talk about when it comes to stats, so just think of this post as like a starting point. I’ll look back at this post next week to see how I’ve grown with stats and where I left off in certain books. I’m going to go a bit more in depth with exactly where I am in my reading and watching to try to hold myself more accountable.
So, let’s start with stats because those are boring, but I love them.
My most popular post last week was my Update and June TBR where I discussed my name change and, obviously, June TBR. That was followed with about half the views by my Movies I Would Like to Watch.
Most of my viewers were from the US, followed by the UK, and from the WordPress Reader. And my most popular day right now is Monday with 22% of my views being on that day and time is 8am, which is the time my posts go live, with 8% of the views.
As of right now (remind you that this is also counting Monday’s post), I’m at 105 total posts, 1,685 total likes, and 273 total comments. I also have 579 followers!
I only ended up posting 5 photos over the last week, three of which were review photos. My most liked photo had 39 likes and it was my review for Children of Virtue and Vengeance. My least liked was my “announcement” of my name change with 29 likes. My amount of likes have gone down tremendously because 1. I’m not in anymore engagement groups and 2. I haven’t been posting consistently. I’ll work on doing better this week.
I did reach 546 accounts this week, though, so that’s good. And made 3,190 impressions, which is down over 4,000 from last week.
I am currently sitting at 1,704 followers and I could not be more happy with that number. You all are the best!
Let me start by saying that I haven’t been posting on my YouTube lately. I haven’t posted in a while, actually. So these are my stats without having posted anything in a while.
My total views this last week are at 31. I gained 2 subscribers as well. My watch time in hours is 0.9 and I made 517 impressions.
My subscriber count is at 454.
So, overall, I wouldn’t say that my stats are horrible, but I know that I’ve done better previous months. That has to do a lot with the fact I’m not consistently posting. I’m getting back into it gradually. Next will be my Instagram.
Next, we’re going to talk about the webtoons I’m currently working on.
No one is probably going to be surprised when I say that nothing has changed from previous weeks. I’m still working on Mage & Demon Queen, which I’m currently on episode 24 of 27. So I plan on catching up as soon as I finish writing this blog post.
Once I’m done with that one, I’m going to be working on this one called EMPYREA. It’s the one at the bottom of my subscribed list, so the one that has not updated in the longest amount of time. Does that make sense to be the next one I work on? Nope. Am I going to do it anyway? Yup. This one is 24 episodes, with a bonus chapter and one saying they are going on hiatus. So, I’m sure I’ll get through that one quickly.
After that, I’ll be moving on to Age Matters which is the next one up on that list and the one that I said I was going to continue on with after Mage & Demon Queen for several weeks. That one is 89 episodes.
As for tv shows and movies, I have a bit of a plan, but I don’t know if I’ll stick to it.
Last week I watched so many different movies. I’m not going to list them all here, but check out this post to see my reviews on the romance movies I wanted to watch, because those are the movies I’ve been watching.
As for TV shows, I started watching How To Get Away With Murder and I am currently on season 1, episode 14. I’m loving this show and I can’t wait to continue. I plan on watching more this week, but I don’t have a set amount in mind. Other than that, I’ve been watching My Hero Academia. I’m on season 3, but I don’t remember exactly what episode. Funimation says episode 45 (which is 7 into the season), but I don’t know if that’s accurate because sometimes the Funimation app gets confused because I’m streaming it to my TV to watch.
I plan on continuing to watch My Hero some more as I continue to read the manga. I can finish season 3, but I have to get my hands on the volumes up through 21 before I can watch season 4. (Spoiler to my reading update in this post, I suppose)
I’d also like to get through all of the movies on this list before the end of the week. I have a feeling I’ll be able to based on the fact I’ve been watching more movies than reading, which I’m hoping to balance out this week.
Okay, now onto the thing you all care about, my reading.
I ended up finishing volumes 10, 11 and 12 of My Hero Academia and starting on volume 13. I’m currently on page 45 of that volume.
I also read Blue Flag Vol 2 which was an arc that I received from Viz Media and Netgalley. I haven’t reviewed it yet on my Instagram, though, because I’m still working on catching up on reviews.
The last book I have to talk about in my wrap up portion of this post is I Find You in the Darkness by Alfa. This is a poetry collection that I ended up DNFing. It wasn’t that it was bad, but I couldn’t get into it. It just wasn’t computing in my head so I just decided that I wasn’t going to finish it.
Okay! Don’t shame me for this. I am currently working on a lot of books. First is obviously volume 13 of My Hero Academia. But I’m also working on None of the Above by I.W. Gregorio. I’m currently on page 64 of that and I’m listening to it on audio. I would like to try to finish this. I listened to the 64 pages in one sitting and, while it was quick to listen to, I’m just in really into the story. It’s something I’ve been struggling with this month.
Also on audiobook, I’m listening to Becoming by Michelle Obama. According to Libby, I’ve listened to an hour and 36 minutes and will be done with the audiobook in 11 hours and 23 minutes.
For eBooks, I’m reading You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson. I finished the week at about 7-8% through this one. I have to return it today, so I’m hoping to get through the rest of it before the hold is up.
What I’d Like to Read
So, the rest of these books are all ones that will be returning this week from Libby or that I have out from Hoopla. If I get to anything else, that’d be great. But I definitely would like to get through these.
The first one is the audiobook for Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert. I’ve heard nothing but rave things about this book. I can’t wait to get to it! I also would like to read the ebook for A Princess in Theory by Alyssa Cole. Both of these books return in 6 days on Libby. While I don’t want to read them at the same time, I definitely would like to read both this week.
As for my Hoopla reads, all of these return in 6 days as well, Stamped From the Beginning by Ibram X. Kendi is the first audiobook. Then I have the audio for Final Draft by Riley Redgate. And the ebook for Driving Heat by Zuri Day.
I have faith I can get to most of these, but I have a feeling that Becoming is going to end up not finished and None of the Above is going to be pushed. We’ll see. I’m also really far behind on ARCs, so if I get the chance, I’d like to work on some of those.
I know I have big plans again this week, but wish me luck that I’ll be able to get through at least some of these. That being said, I’m going to go. I hope you all enjoyed this post.
Comment below with any books you’d like to read this week.
I’ll see you all in the next one. Thanks again for joining me!
