Weekly Update June 15-21

Good morning everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and Monday. I know that it’s still the beginning of the week but that means that we get to wrap up last week!

We’ll start by looking at some stats like I did last week and then getting into the books I read. Then finish off with anything that I would like to read this week.

So, let’s get into this and I hope you all enjoy. Let me know what book you’re currently reading (or books if you’re like me).

So, as usual, these reviews are not yet on my Instagram yet. Oops. I’ll be posting them throughout this week. But they are certainly coming.

Books I Finished

This book is about a woman who is dealing with chronic pain that has changed her life entirely. She decides to make a list of things that she needs to do to “get her life” back. First thing is to move out of her family’s home. After moving into an apartment by herself, she meets the handyman and convinces him to help her complete her list.

I really loved this book. I’m so glad that everyone told me to read it. It was romantic and funny and I just loved it.

This is a book told in verse about a boy growing up as a mixed-race gay teen into university when he becomes a part of a club for drag artists and becomes one himself. It’s a story of expression and self-identity.

I absolutely loved this book. I would have loved for more of this story, but I also felt that it was the perfect amount. If that makes any sense. I didn’t want to leave this story, but it was done so well. I’m so glad I got the chance to read it and the audiobook was wonderful! Especially since it was narrated by Dean Atta themself.

That’s really all that I read last week. I’m not going to talk about stats this week because even talking about it last week left a weird taste in my mouth. While I like to see those things, I decided not to include them because it’s just a strange thing to talk about, I guess.

But that being said, let’s talk about the books I plan on reading this week. Not much has changed in my Webtoon reading, but I would like to make it a higher priority this week.

And that’s really it for this blog post. I hope you all enjoyed. Let me know in the comments what you’re planning on reading this week.

There are a lot of books on my TBR, but I do hope to finish them all this week, though I know it’s likely not going to happen (and I certainly won’t be finishing Illuminae). I guess we’ll have to wait and see how I do!

Thanks so much for joining me and I hope you follow my blog and other social media. I’ll see you all very soon.
