Good morning everyone! I hope you’re all doing well today!
If you didn’t know, yesterday was Festivale in Animal Crossing and I wanted to review this event and share ALL of the photos I took during it. Just be warned, it’s a lot, and these darn villagers are too cute to handle. You’ve been warned.
So, let’s get right into this.
So, I’m just going to really quickly go through what the event kinda was, what happened, and my thoughts on it. Then I’ll end off with some photos I took of my villagers throughout the day.
Pavé
So, Pavé is a recurring character in Animal Crossing. I personally haven’t played any Animal Crossing Games before New Horizons so I didn’t have any sort of connection to any villagers or NPCs. I personally think the people the most excited for this update were the people who knew Pavé from previous games.
Here’s the thing. He was super cute and fun. I couldn’t stop laughing as he was having his dialogue and just having a good ole time. But it got old kinda fast.
So, the tasks for this event were going around collecting different colored feathers and rare rainbow feathers. You bring 3 of a color to Pavé and he gives you an random Festivale item in that color. You could also get a different item each day in the Nook Shop leading up to the event.
The items were cool, but I personally won’t use any besides maybe the stage and the confetti machines on my island.

The big “win” of the event was the Festivale float. Which is honestly kinda really cool. My problem, again, is that I would never use it anywhere on my island.
My overall thoughts on the event itself were fairly mediocre. It was fun for a bit, but then just got annoying. It was easy to get feathers on my island because I have a giant empty space in the middle. So it was easy to run around and just collect them.
You could trade feathers with villagers, but even then, you had to collect some before you could trade for the colors you needed.
I also watched a streamer and fellow bookish content creator, Becca with a Book, doing this event on their island and it was a lot harder because their island is almost fully decorated. So not only did the event make it a bit more laggy than normal, it was harder to find and catch the feathers.
But even with all of that, I wouldn’t say this event was a bust. Seeing all the villagers all dressed up and having a grand ole time, I just was in love.
Okay everyone. I can’t get enough, but I supposed that we should call it a day. I hope that the slideshows all worked. This is my first time using them and I figured they would be better than listing all the photos. Please let me know if there were any issues!
Thank you all so much for joining me! I hope you all had as much fun with this post as I did. I would stay on Festivale day just for my villagers to stay this happy. But alas, we must move on.
I’ll see you all very soon in the next one!
The slideshows worked for me! This looks like a cute event in a cute game, though I haven’t played any AC games (including this one) so I don’t know who the recurring characters are either.

Yeah. When people who have played before talk about previous characters, I’m just like “who? What? Cool.” Some of them are real cute and I love them, but there are others that just seem really over hyped.

I guess it’s like Pokemon for me. I like the cute ones, and (at least for now) don’t care what their abilities are. 😉

That’s definitely me with Pokemon as well. I mean, I’m like “okay. You look mighty cool, you gotta be a good fighter.” Later find out that they are one of the weaker ones 😅😬

LOL! I haven’t started playing yet, but I’m sure when I do pick up a Pokemon game I’m going to have my Pokemon all be cute ones whether or not they can survive a fight. 😅
