Weekly Wrap Up and Goals | March 16-22 & 23-29

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all are staying safe and healthy! Here in NY, we’re on lockdown now. Non-essential business are closed, which means I still have to go in because I work at Walmart. Please be aware and thank the people who are still forced to put themselves at risk for this. That means hospital workers, police officers, fire fighters, grocery store workers, and many more that are related to each of these tasks.

Thank you to everyone who is continuing to do this so. You are in my thoughts so you can stay healthy.

To be honest, if I had a choice, I’d rather stay home. This is the point where I wish I worked a job where I could stay home. Thankfully Walmart is doing a lot to help with this. We’re hiring for people who are out of work and still need the income, giving bonuses to associates to help during this time, and have things in place so people aren’t penalized for having to leave work because of this.

But anyway, let’s talk about something happier now. Click “continue reading” to do just that!

Weekly Wrap Up and TBR | Week 9 & 10 Feb 25-Mar 1

Good morning everyone! It’s time to wrap up my reading for the week and the books I plan on reading for next week!

I’m also going to mention the music I’ve been listening to and the shows I’ve been watching. And last but not least, the Webtoon I’m currently reading. Because I read so many during the week, I’m not going to mention the ones I read during that time, just the one I’m reading when posting this.

So, let’s get into it.

February Wrap Up | Readathin

Good evening everyone. I told you I’d be getting this post up today! I’m just really glad I was able to. I told myself that I couldn’t start reading my first March read until I wrote this post. So I’m doing it now!

I ended up reading 7 books, one more than last time. Since I did reviews for all of these on my Instagram, I will link to all of them for you all to check out. I won’t get into what I thought about these books here besides my ratings. For further thoughts, check out those reviews.

I hope you all enjoy!

Week 7 Wrap Up & Week 8 TBR

Good afternoon everyone! I hope the weekend treated you well. I swear. One of these weekends I’ll actually be able to keep up with blogging. I just planned all of the posts for the rest of the month and one day you’ll be getting two because of my OwlCrate unboxing.

But for now, let’s talk about how my reading for last week went and what my plans are for this week. I’m going by what the internet tells me and saying this is week 8 and it started today. So this will be what I read from Monday the 10th through until yesterday the 16th.

Stacked by Season Wrap Up

Good evening everyone. I haven’t been around in a bit. I’m sorry! I’ve been busy doing the reading thing! I know! It’s shocking.

If you don’t know what Stacked by Season is, it’s a readathon that I co-host with the amazing Melissa at TheWrittenAdventure. The goal is to read for 24 hours over the course of 4 days. Fine and dandy, right? Easy peasy.

Nope! I haven’t hit the 24 in the several months that we’ve been hosting this. We do it every month over the course of a weekend (Thursday to Sunday). I’m really excited for when I’m out of school because Thursdays and Sundays are usually homework days for me.

The next one will be in March, so make sure you all are following the Instagram so you can stay up to date for when the next one is!

January 2020 Reading Stats | Wrap Up

Good morning everyone! It’s time to discuss my reading stats for January!

I’m going to be discussing my stats in this blog post and that books that I read. If you want my full thoughts, make sure you head over to my YouTube and watch my wrap up video. I’ll be discussing my thoughts on these books there.

So let’s get into the stats.

I read 6 books during January, adding up to 1,434 pages.

I ended up getting 24 books in January, but a lot of that was from a BookOutlet order I placed in December. Out of the 24, 4 were outside of BookOutlet. 3 of those I paid for and one of those three were from OwlCrate. So overall, I feel I did well with my book buying in January.

Out of the 6 books that I read, 5 were romances and 1 was a fantasy. 5 ebooks, 1 physical. 5 adult, 1 young adult.

Overall, I think that I did a decent job with my reading overall, but I hope to do better in February. My average pages read per day (not how many I actually read, but how many the math tells me I read) was 46 pages per day. I didn’t finish any audiobooks, but I have been working on one.

Books Read in January

To figure out what books I’m currently reading, stay up to date with my stories on Instagram. I try to update there as much as I can. But if you want my thoughts on a specific book, each instagram review is linked on the photo, so click that and it will bring you to that post.

But again, make sure you check out my wrap up video to find out how I ended up with an average of 3.5 stars rating in January!

Thank you all so much for joining me and I hope you all enjoyed this post.

What was your favorite read of January and why?

I’ll see you all in the next one! Bye!

2019 Reading Goals Wrap Up

Good evening everyone! I hope you all have had a wonderful beginning to the new year. Well, since we’re here, let’s shame me! Aka let’s talk about my 2019 Reading Goals, how I did, and what I learned.

Now, disclaimer, I am not ashamed of how I did last year with my reading. I had a lot of crap going on in my life and I didn’t get to read as much as I would have liked. I’m okay with that. But I did learn from these goals and that’s what I’d like to focus on.

I’m not going to go in depth with every challenge and how I did in detail. It’s going to be just if I completed it or not, why not if I didn’t, and, again, what I learned.

Read 10 Series

This is a challenge I didn’t complete. I chose 10 specific series and wanted to read them by the end of the year. But I don’t count this as a fail. I either DNFed the series or finished it. Or made decent progress in it. Either way, it put my attention on the series and I was “forced” to make a choice about reading it.

I ended up DNFing Throne of Glass and deciding I didn’t care about The Remnant Chronicles. I started The Selection, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, and The Infernal Devices.

I prioritized and finished Percy Jackson and Saga. I made progress. That’s what mattered to me.

Wrapped Books

This one I did really well in during 2018, but failed in 2019. I decided that wrapping the books was a waste of paper and choosing one every month wasn’t making me want to read them.

I changed it up this year to give me more time for each selection and reuse old book boxes instead of new wrapping paper.

Read 50 TBR Books

For this, I wanted to focus on reading books I already owned. This was going great until the last half of the year. I was depressed and slumpy so I wasn’t reading as much. My focus was on ARCs and that’s it. So I didn’t get the chance to read a lot of books from my own TBR.

But I’m doing this challenge again and hope that this year will go better.

Read All ARCs

I didn’t do this one either. I wanted to focus on backlist arcs, but I just didn’t end up doing that. I kept up with ones I got, but I didn’t read, like, any backlist. I’m hoping to get to them this year. Either reading them or DNFing them. Either way, my NetGalley is at 82% currently, so I’m not counting this as a fail.

A to Z Challenge

So, I’m sure if I go through all my reads, I would have completed this one. Either way, I do this one for fun, not as a strict goal.

Finish All Currently Reading

Yup, nope. That didn’t happen. But I am going to try to prioritize this in 2020. I want to either finish or DNF the books.

Read 150 Books, 100 Novels

I got really close, but my depression and slump ruined that one. Oops. I cut it back to 100 on GoodReads, but I would like to subconsciously try to hit 150 again. The 150 is counting manga and such. The 100 is specifically novels.

And that’s it! Those were all my goals for 2019. As you can tell, I didn’t do great. But I wouldn’t count 2019 as a flop. I learned, I grew, etc etc. I’m excited for what 2020 has in store for my reading.

Check out my last post to see what books I am going to start out the year with!

Thanks for joining me and I’ll see you all in my next post for a First Lines Friday! Enjoy the rest of your evening!

See you all soon! Bye!
